I know it may seem limiting at first if you are interested in using a ketogenic diet for fat loss and you are also vegetarian. But there are more options than you might think. Like other types of ketogenic diet, the important things to focus on are your fat, protein, and fibre sources.
As an example, I'll go through some keto-friendly foods below.
Keto-Friendly Vegetarian Foods
Fat: Butter, coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil and cheese.
Protein: Eggs, tofu, tempeh (and fish if you pescatarian)
Fibre: Broccoli, cauliflower, spinach and cabbage.
Seasoning: Black pepper, mustard, full-fat mayonnaise, soy sauce, rosemary, thyme, sage, oregano.
Some Keto Friendly Vegetarian Meal Ideas Are:
Cheese and broccoli omelette cooked in butter with avocado slices
Tofu cabbage and cauliflower stir-fry with soy sauce
Oven-roasted tempeh marinated in rosemary and thyme. Pair it with spinach sautéed in olive oil.
